Security and protection of your personal data

We consider as our primary task to maintain the confidentiality of the personal data you provide and to protect it from unauthorized access. That is why we apply the utmost care and the latest security standards to ensure maximum protection of your personal data.

As a private company, we are subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR; in German: Datenschutzgrundverordnung - DSGVO) and the regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed by both us and our external service providers.

Lawfulness of processing

The processing of personal data is only lawful if there is a legal basis for the processing. The legal basis for processing can be in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a - f DSGVO in particular:

  1. The data subject (person) has given their consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes;
  2. the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures that are carried out at the request of the data subject;
  3. the processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which the controller is subject;
  4. the processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person;
  5. processing is necessary for the performance of a task that is in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority that has been assigned to the person responsible;
  6. the processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of the person responsible or a third party, unless the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject that requires the protection of personal data outweigh them, in particular if the data subject is concerned Child Acts.

Information about the collection of personal data

In the following we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data are e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

Collection of personal data when you visit our website

If you only use the website for informational purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you would like to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 GDPR):

Use of cookies

(1) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the location that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offer more user-friendly and effective overall.

  1. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  2. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

Our website uses the 1 & 1 WebAnalytics service provided by 1 & 1 Internet SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.

Type of data collection:
Tracking and logging are activated by default. The data are determined either by a pixel or by a log file. 1 & 1 WebAnalytics does not use cookies to protect personal data. 1 & 1 does not save any personal data of website visitors so that no conclusions can be drawn about the individual visitors.

The following data is collected:

  • Referrer (previously visited website)
  • Requested website or file
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Device type used
  • Time of access
  • IP address in anonymous form (only used to determine the location of the access)

Purpose of data collection:
Statistical evaluation and technical optimization of the website. The data is processed completely anonymously. There are no data forwarded to third parties.

Rights of those affected

You have the right:

  • to request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can obtain information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to correction, deletion, restriction of processing or opposition, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data, unless it was collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, if necessary, meaningful information about its details;
  • according to Art. 16 GDPR, to immediately request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;
  • to request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, unless the processing to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims is required;
  • to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, provided that you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, you need to exercise or defend legal claims or you have objected to processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another person responsible;
  • to revoke your consent given to us at any time in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. As a result, we are no longer allowed to continue processing data based on this consent in the future and
  • to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or work or at our company headquarters.

Right to object

If your personal data is based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR are processed, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation. We use suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties.
